YATE TIP TOP II, MODERNIZE ITS FIBERGLASS SUPERSTRUCTURE

The TIP TOP II yacht is a hotel yacht, belonging to Rolf Wittmer Turismo Galápagos Cia. Ltda.
* Was built in 1983, as a combination of steel hull and Wood superstructure in a single deck.
* Rolf Wittmer Turismo Galápagos Cia. Ltda. selected to Tecnavin S. A., naval projects, to make the following modernizations to the ship:
1. In 1998, the yacht was lengthened from 21.0 meters to 26.50 meters.
2. In 2006, the yacht was widened from 5.9 meters to 6.60 meters, simultaneously was lengthened from 26.50 meters to 27.50 meters and re-powered from 180 HP to 255 HP, each propulsion engine.
3. Actually in 2011
a. The yacht was modernized, with a totally new fiberglass superstructure.
b. Taking advantage of blocks construction, the new fiberglass superstructure was totally prefabricated as mono block form, to be installed over the steel main deck.
c. This technology had allowed saving 50% time of the conventional construction method,
d. This modernization allowed 30% increase in the accommodation comfort
e. The ship was finished on September 2011.
