OBTAINED BENEFITS WITH THE DESIGN
The yacht TIP TOP II, is a yacht type hotel, belonging to the company ROLF WITTMER TOURISM GALÁPAGOS CÍA. LTDA. It was built in 1983, like a combination of hull of naval steel and wooden superstructure with a upper deck.

The 1998, the company Rolf Wittmer Tourism Galapagos CÍA Ltda., it selected Tecnavin S. A., naval projects, so that he carries out a modernization of the ship.

The update that were carried out in the yacht TIP TOP II, understood::

  1. To cut the fore of the yacht and to lengthen it + 2.60 m.
  2. To cut the wooden superstructure and re place with fiber glass as much in upper as in the magistral deck.
  3. To lengthen the stern starting from the transom + 2.40 m.
  4. To reorder the equipment of engine room existent.

The benefits that were obtained with the lengthening were:

  • To improve the speed in +2.0 knots.
  • To change the bunks to simple beds.
  • To add air conditioner in all accommodation spaces.
  • To diminish the level of noise in 20 Db A.
  • To improve the comfort in passengers' areas, corridors and meeting spaces.

Now in November 2006, TECNAVIN S. A., naval projects, delights in giving their II update of the yacht TIP TOP II.

The main activities carried out in this occasion have been:

  1. To cut the sides of the yacht and to widen it +0.70 m, until reaching the new breadth of 6.62 m.
  2. To extend the stern, starting from the existent transom in + 1.50 m
  3. To enable the covered with masterful as soleo area.
  4. To increase the area of passengers' shipment for stern.
  5. To change the motors propellers Diesel Detroit 200 HP to Cummins of 250 HP each one.
  6. To change the generating Perkin of 40 Kw. to Onan of 55 Kw.
  7. To change the power stations of conditioners of air type chiller for new units m silent ás, type self contained DOMETIC USES.
  8. To change the thermal and acoustic isolation of the ship.

The advantages obtained with this second bring up to date are:

  • I increase of the spaces in the booths of passengers.
  • To maintain the speed from the ship to 10.5 knots, to full load.
  • To improve the standard of finishes in all the atmospheres.
  • To improve the thermal isolation of the sides, bulkheads and lying to 1100 ºF, transforming them into protection SINGLE type A30.

All these beneficent ones have been possible to reach them thanks to the trust of the company ROLF WITTMER TOURISM GALÁPAGOS CÍA LTDA., in the Industry naval Ecuatoriana.
